Private Villas of Bali is committed to minimize our carbon foot print. As such the following measures have been implemented, as we search for further efficiencies:

  • We use solar panels and direct sun applications for the base heating process of our water
  • Both villas have implemented insulation under the roof top with either rock wool and or reflective films to defer heating and collect rain water for landscape irrigation
  • Bio Fill sewage systems have been implemented
  • Our Engineers monitor fresh water consumption daily to avoid wastage
  • 98% of internal and external lighting is LED or CFC
  • Voltage regulators have been implemented to protect electronic equipment
  • Backup generators run on gas rather than diesel for environmental reasons
  • Garden waste is partially recycled to fertilize the temple grounds
  • An in-ground watering system irrigates the grounds twice nightly for 3-5 minutes to avoid evaporation and minimize loss of water and sun burn of plants
  • Both villas have become a breeding ground for birds and the bird population on Bukit Pandawa has been steadily growing. Large birds occasionally can be seen fishing at the water features of Villa Frangipani and swallows can be seen skimming the waters of Villa Tirta Kencana
